55 Game - Responsible Gaming

55 Game responsible gaming: how to set deposit and time limits, recognise problem-gambling warning signs, self-exclude, and reach confidential 18+ support helplines.

Play within your limits

Responsible gaming starts before you open the app. Set a fixed monthly entertainment budget, separate from your UPI wallet funds used for essentials, and transfer only that amount to your 55 Game account. A practical starting point for casual players is ₹500 to ₹1,000 per month, comparable to what you might spend on a streaming subscription or a weekend outing with friends. Once that balance is gone, log out and return next month.

Never gamble with money earmarked for rent, EMIs, groceries, or family expenses. Avoid using the credit features on PhonePe, GPay, or BHIM UPI to top up your gaming wallet; borrowed money turns entertainment into debt quickly. If you catch yourself thinking "I'll win it back," that is a clear signal to end the session immediately and step away for at least 24 hours before returning.

Keep gaming as one small part of a balanced daily routine. Schedule specific play windows, for example, 30 minutes on weekend evenings only, and honour those windows the way you would any calendar appointment. Use your phone's built-in Digital Wellbeing controls on Android or Screen Time on iOS as a secondary reminder alongside 55 Game's own session tools.

Warning signs of problem gambling

Problem gambling rarely announces itself loudly. It typically builds through small habit shifts: sessions running longer than planned, deposit amounts creeping higher each week, or a growing sense of unease when you are not playing. Key behavioural flags include chasing losses by doubling stakes, hiding your activity from family members, and neglecting work, studies, or household responsibilities to play more.

Financial warning signs are equally telling: unexplained gaps in your savings account, unpaid utility or phone bills, borrowing from friends or relatives without a clear reason, or liquidating FD or mutual-fund investments to fund deposits. Emotional indicators include feeling irritable or anxious when unable to play and using gaming as your primary way to escape stress rather than as occasional entertainment.

If two or more of these signs feel familiar, act immediately rather than waiting. The sooner you apply limits or seek support, the easier recovery becomes. Use the self-assessment checklist inside your 55 Game account settings as a starting point, then consider sharing your concerns with a trusted friend or family member for additional accountability.

Deposit, loss and time limits

55 Game provides three configurable limit types inside your account dashboard under Responsible Gaming > My Limits. A deposit limit caps the total amount you can add to your wallet in a rolling 24-hour, 7-day, or 30-day window, for example, setting a ₹2,000 monthly ceiling prevents impulse overspending. A loss limit automatically suspends play once your net losses reach a figure you define, protecting your bankroll from a single damaging session. A session time limit triggers a mandatory break notification after 30, 60, or 90 minutes so you never lose track of time.

Reductions to any limit take effect immediately. Increases are subject to a mandatory 48-hour cooling-off period before they activate, giving you time to reconsider any hasty decision. Review your limits every month and lower them whenever your financial circumstances change, after a large unexpected expense or a period of heavier-than-usual play.

Self-exclusion and cool-off

If you need a stronger pause than a time limit provides, 55 Game offers two escalating options. A cool-off period temporarily suspends your account for 24 hours, 7 days, or 30 days, ideal when you recognise early warning signs and want a short circuit-breaker. During a cool-off you cannot log in, deposit, or place any bets, but your account and balance remain intact for when the period ends.

Self-exclusion is a longer-term commitment of 3, 6, or 12 months, or permanently. Once activated, it cannot be reversed during the chosen period, this is intentional, to prevent impulsive reversal during a craving. To activate either option, go to Account > Responsible Gaming > Self-Exclusion and follow the on-screen steps. If you choose permanent exclusion, contact our support team directly at [email protected] to confirm closure of your account and withdrawal of any remaining balance.
